Plaine Products styling gel is vegan, cruelty-free, non-GMO, biodegradable, sulfate-free, color-safe, palm oil-free, and silicone free! All the ingredients for the products are listed clearly online to provide clarity and transparency. The scent of the Styling Gel is Sage. This is the same scent as the Plaine Products Hair and Body Wash. The smell of sage is both earthy and fresh!
2.) The styling gel is lightweight
I love that this product is a lightweight curly hair gel. It isn’t heavy or too thick which makes it an easy go-to styling product. The gel is easy to handle and applies to the hair without residue. When you pump the product from the bottle, the product is creamy, not clumpy or sticky. This makes it easy to apply and manipulate the hair. After adding to my son’s hair (3C texture) I was easily able to run my hands through his curls and watch the gel define his curls.
3.) The product is versatile
The versatility of this lightweight curly hair gel allows me to use it for my hair and my son’s hair even though our hair textures are different! The gel helps to reduce frizz, which is especially important for my busy toddler. It also offers a nice hold for my hair in a protective style (like a bun!) or as a wash-and-go (when my curls are worn wet and left to air dry). This gel can also be used on wet hair or dry hair, depending on your desired style and preference. On wet hair, be sure to comb through or finger through for even distribution.

How Refills Work
Products are purchased with the option to add a pump or choose the refillable bottle. When purchasing a product for the first time, it is always best to get a pump. After you’ve used up most of your product, purchase a refill bottle without the pump and request a shipping label at checkout (it’s free!).
When you’ve finished the original product prep it for recycling by giving the bottle a rinse and leaving it to dry. The empty bottle can be shipped back to Plaine Products in your refill box..
