Why Make Oat Milk at Home?

Making oat milk at home has numerous benefits:

  • Control Over Ingredients: Skip the additives by using simple ingredients. You can even sweeten your milk naturally instead of using added sugar like most store-bought oat milk.
  • Healthier Option: You have the option to use organic, wholesome ingredients for your homemade milk. Choose the best option for your family to make the highest quality oat milk.
  • Cost-Effective: Save money by making your own instead of continuously buying cartons from grocery stores.
  • Eco-Friendly: Reduce waste by avoiding store-bought packaging

1. Measure Your Ingredients

Gather your ingredients and measure them out. This ensures a smooth and quick process.

2. Combine Ingredients

Add the measured oats, sweetener (maple syrup, honey, or a date), vanilla extract, salt, and water to your Nutr machine.

3. Blend it Up

Press the cold temperature button on the Nutr machine. The oat milk takes about 5 minutes to make.

4. Strain the Milk

After blending, strain the oat milk using the provided fine mesh strainer to remove any oat pulp. This step ensures your oat milk is smooth and creamy. Straining is optional, but makes for the best plant-based milk! You can use your leftover oat pulp to cook with!

5. Store and Enjoy

For best results, pour your freshly made oat milk into any airtight container like a bottle or jar and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. I typically pour mine in our used dairy-free milks cartons. The creamy oat milk is perfect in your coffee, cereal, smoothies, or just on its own!

No need for a nut milk bag, a high-speed blender, or a food processor to make the perfect homemade version of delicious oat milk! Using the Nutr machine makes creating non-dairy milk so easy.

The possibilities are endless, and you can even get creative with smoothies, lattes, and other beverages. Plus, it helps me save money and reduce waste—a win-win for my wallet and the planet. I love adding my oat milk to my coffee, especially iced coffee! I’ve made chocolate oat milk and even turtle pecan coffee creamer in my Nutr machine!
