From seasonal produce to the air we breathe, understanding the power of plants will always be necessary for students to understand. Leaves are necessary for photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process of turning sunlight into food! Leaves also create mulch which acts as a natural fertilizer for our grasses and gardens. Leaves are also a place where wildlife calls home, especially during the wintertime under the leaves on the ground.
